For the Love of Your Job

"We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give"

- Winston Churchill

It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, we all know what it's like to be treated with attentiveness and thoughtfulness by a flight attendant on the plane.

It doesn't matter if you fly for a pastime or if you fly when you have to; the way the flight attendant greets you, directs you to your seat and serves you throughout the flight makes all the difference.

But why are some people so friendly and forthcoming and others just the opposite?

Because it's not about the job, it's about the people; about their comfort and their pleasure.

But it's not only the flight attendants who have the power to impact your life; you can do it too. It doesn't only have to be at work, you can change the atmosphere at home or the mood of the guy at the gas station. By putting other people's needs and comfort before yours and by seeing how you can improve their experience of the moment makes all the difference. By putting yourself out there to make other people's lives better, you can not only improve their quality of life but yours too. Isn't that just awesome?

So, in whose life will you infuse happiness, care and love, now?

  2. We can make a Kiddush Hashem by bringing out the niceness of other person. We can make their day in any place. It's better to have good middos then to have something sharp to answer back.
