The Anticipation of Love

"The anticipation of being able to hug it, cuddle it and giving over your life to it... dreaming of it loving you back even before it's born and even though I don't know it - I feel like I know it. Its a part of me."

- Chana Esther Schwarz

What is the best thing that could happen to somebody? Getting their first job? Probably not. Their wedding day. Possibly.
What about having a baby? Well, now you're talking.

The thought of bringing someone new into this world, someone whom you know you will give your life and love to, someone who is about to change the person you are forever, is the best thing that can happen to you. It is the person and the only person, who will make you a parent.

The pure love you feel, the excitement you experience is incomprehensible. The dream of giving endless love and care to the child doesn't start when it's born, the enthusiasm simply grows with every day which passes. The unborn child has no idea how anticipated it is and that the world is about to enter is one of love and light and compassion.

Being a parent isn't always fun and games, on the contrary, it's a challenge but it's the best challenge one can dream of. It might not be easy but it's worth it.

For months and days before the baby comes into the world, you promise yourself that you will be there and do what it takes to make sure nothing stands its way of success. You promise to build this child to be strong and courageous. You pledge that it will always be surrounded in a cocoon of love.

We don't know what the future will bring but the present is the present - its nine months of falling in love that will last a lifetime.

Will you always remember that a parent holds endless love before they even hold their baby?

  1. I think this is the greatest anticipation possible!
A parent loves the child even before it's born, even though they know it will cause them trouble, even though it brings them agony now (the nausea, false alarms etc). It's amazing - parents still have this great love for the child.

What would be if we would all love everyone even if they cause us problems?
