A Doctor's Heart

"Not only do I enjoy healing people, but I also like to get to know them on a personal level; to connect with them. It makes it more real."

- Dr. Eric Frankenfeld DC

Do you remember being excited, or not, to go to the doctor as a child?
What makes a good doctor even better?

Being a doctor can be just like any other job. Whether you're a lawyer, a business adviser or an architect, what makes being a doctor different from the rest?

It's the doctor who has patience for his patients that makes him stand out.

When you feel they care about you personally you feel like it's possible to get healed because it's not so much what they do but how they do it. When a doctor takes a personal interest in you as a patient, you become a person and not just another name on his screen that needs to be seen to - you feel like you matter.

A doctor might be a profession but it's also a passion.

Doctors see many patients every day, some come in with strep, some with heart conditions and others with mental health problems; but beneath that, is a person who needs to be cared for.

"The good doctor treats the disease; the great doctor treats the patient who has the disease."

When you visit your doctor, dermatologist or specialist next, how will you show your appreciation for all that they do besides for healing?
