The Love for the Future

"It feels good to be able to take care of kids who can't take care of themselves and it feels great to be able to understand, to communicate and to figure them out on their level... even though they can't talk, they always love back."

- Adina Kubani

Do you remember the last time you were looking after someone else's baby and when it was time to go, you wanted to take care of them just a little longer?

There's something special about babies. Something that makes you want to give. Even though they don't yet know how to give back you still want to give more. The reward is bigger than the effort because one day when they will be all grown up and mature you will look back and know you played a part in their life.  After all, newborns eat, sleep, cry and repeat. However, it's their first smile, the first time they roll over and their first step that makes your heart sing!

Even though they might be someone else's baby, they become a part of your heart. Yes, they might not know how to express their love but they give back with every milestone, every new tooth, and every giggle.

They might never know but it is your love, care, and dedication that will help them grow, flourish and thrive. You know you've made an impact when you reach out to pick them up and they dive into your outstretched arms. You know they are content and feel safe.

It takes a big heart to shape little minds.

So next time you have the chance to take care of a child, will you remember that you are taking care of the future?
